Meet Ryan and Tyler.

I’m Tyler Rudduck, co-founder of Rock & Refuge Earthworks. I’ve spent more than 10 years working in the construction and landscaping industry, building my experience from the ground up and working on projects connected to more than 15,000 homes. Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to work with companies like Ryan Homes and contribute to residential properties ranging from everyday family homes to high-end projects valued well into the millions.

Throughout my career, I’ve operated excavators, skid steers, loaders, and other heavy equipment, while also leading crews and working in roles such as foreman and field supervisor. I’ve been responsible for a wide range of work, including grading, excavation, drainage, site preparation, landscape construction, and coordinating projects to make sure everything is completed correctly from start to finish. I’ve learned how important proper planning, attention to detail, and clear communication are on every job, regardless of its size.

After years of working in the field and seeing firsthand what separates good work from great work, I decided to take that experience and build something of my own. That’s what Rock & Refuge Earthworks is about. We bring years of hands-on experience, thousands of completed homes, and a standard of workmanship that doesn’t allow for cutting corners. We understand that every property is different, and we take the time to approach each project with the right equipment, preparation, and attention to detail.

I’ve seen just about every situation a construction or landscaping project can throw at you, and that experience is something we bring to every job. Whether we’re preparing a site, moving earth, improving drainage, building a landscape feature, or helping transform an outdoor space, our goal is to do the work properly and create results that last. My goal is simple: build it right, take pride in the work, treat every customer and property with respect, and leave every client with something we can both be proud of.
